Find your calm Workshop Series - Winter 2020

A workshop series to help you change your relationship to stress.

This workshop series is designed to help you learn ways to not just cope with, but truly change how you approach the stress in your life.  You might have tried relaxation methods, or tried taking a vacation, only to find that once you’re back to your life the stress just piles back on, bringing you right back to the tension, frustration, and worry you experienced before.  Through mindfulness and self-compassion exercises, journal prompts, and discussions, you’ll have the space to truly examine how you relate to stress and yourself so that you have more options than just retreating when the stress gets to be too much.  The workshop includes a weekly email with additional resources and journal prompts to help you put what you’re learning into daily practice.

This event series is limited to a maximum of six participants, so this will be an intimate environment to truly offer you the chance to reflect and learn.

In this workshop you’ll learn:

  • How the practice of mindfulness, or being fully present, can help you unhook from stressful thoughts and let go of unhelpful worries.
  • How the practice of self-compassion can help you relate better to the critical inner voice that often gets louder during times of stress.
  • How connecting to what’s important to you can help you build the resilience to handle stress in a different way.

Please note that this workshop is being offered for educational purposes and should not replace seeing a mental health professional for individual counseling.
