counseling for Stress

Manage your stress and find relief through counseling.

You feel overwhelmed, like you have too many plates you have to keep spinning.  You aren’t sure when you’ll ever get a break.  Maybe you are more fatigued than usual or find yourself with more aches and tension.  You might have trouble sleeping, finding yourself wide awake at night running through your to-do list or mentally re-writing an e-mail.

Stress can impact your body and mind, leaving you feeling depleted, exhausted, foggy, and tense.  You might be experiencing stress from work, family responsibilities, finances, chronic illness, or a combination of factors.  When stress accumulates, it can be hard to recover by simply taking a break – you might benefit from some help figuring out how to dig out of the hole of stress.  Often there is also healing that needs to happen from the wear and tear that chronic stress wreaks on a body.

You want to find relief from chronic stress and re-connect with what you care about, and I want to help.

One on one therapy can give you the chance to take a break from attending to everyone else’s need in order to focus on yourself.  At my counseling practice serving Texas residents, I will help you learn to differentiate between necessary stress and what is optional stress (areas where you can learn to say “no”.)  We’ll look at how you react to stress and how your mindset and reactions may be getting in the way.  I’ll give you actionable techniques to help you approach your stress in a different way.  I want to help you find calm so you can focus on what matters.  If you are struggling with chronic stress, schedule your twenty minute free introductory phone call to explore if we may be a good fit to work together, or visit my FAQ page to learn a little more about what it’s like to work with me.
