Fees
My fee for individual counseling is $220 for a 60-minute session.
Insurance
I am not in-network for any insurance providers. Not working with insurance companies allows me to keep a small caseload, where I can offer specialized, attentive care to you.
I am happy to provide you with a receipt for out-of-network billing if you would like to file for reimbursement directly with your insurance company.
Cancellation Policy
I ask that you please notify me as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. This allows other clients a chance to schedule for the time you have reserved. You can notify me by email, text, or phone call.
I do have a 24-hour cancellation policy, which means if you cancel a session less than 24 hours before your scheduled time, I will charge you half the session fee. If you cancel at the session time or later (or don’t inform me that you can’t make it) I’ll charge the full fee for the session. These charges are made regardless for the reason you are cancelling the appointment. I ask that you keep a credit card on file to hold an appointment.
Good Faith Estimate
Healthcare providers are legally required to provide an estimate of expected charges to clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance. You have the right to receive this Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including counseling services.
You can ask your healthcare provider and any other provider you choose for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service or at any time during treatment. As a standard practice, I issue good-faith estimates to all clients as a part of the intake paperwork process before starting counseling with me.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or for more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
Crisis & After-Hours Support
As a solo practitioner, I do not have the capacity to offer crisis or after-hours support. All counseling support is provided by scheduled appointments only. I am typically available during normal business hours from Monday to Thursday for administrative and scheduling questions, though I do take several weeks off per year and do not check messages during those periods.
If you are experiencing a crisis and need to speak to someone, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 988. In the event of a medical emergency, a threat to your safety, or a threat to the safety of others, please call 911 for immediate assistance.
Additional Policies
Additional practice policies will be provided as a part of the intake paperwork process prior to your first counseling session, and you’ll have an opportunity during our first session to ask any clarifying questions.
